Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Sleepdrift: White Noise Mixer ("Sleepdrift", "the app") is an iOS application developed by MD Shahariar Nazim Joy ("we", "us", "the developer"). This policy explains how the app handles information. You can reach us at any time at dmjks120@gmail.com.

2. Data we collect

None.

We do not collect, receive, record, log, profile, transmit, sell, rent or share any personal data or usage data about you. Specifically, the app does not collect:

• Your name, email address, phone number, or any other contact details
• Account credentials — the app has no accounts and no login
• Device identifiers, advertising identifiers (IDFA), or the IDFV
• Analytics events, crash telemetry, usage statistics, or session data
• Location data of any kind, precise or coarse
• Contacts, photos, calendar entries, health data, or files
• Microphone or camera input
• Payment card or billing details
• IP addresses or any other network-derived identifiers

The app contains no analytics framework, no crash-reporting framework, no advertising framework and no third-party software development kits (SDKs) of any kind.

3. Permissions we request

Zero.

Sleepdrift does not ask for a single system permission. It will never prompt you for access to your microphone, camera, notifications, location, contacts, photos, or any other protected resource, because it does not use any of them. If you are ever shown a permission prompt claiming to come from Sleepdrift, it did not come from this app.

The app plays audio, which on iOS does not require a user permission prompt.

4. Data stored on your device

The app saves a small amount of information locally on your iPhone so that it can remember how you left it. This is stored in UserDefaults, Apple's standard local storage for app settings, in the app's own private container:

This information is never transmitted off your device. We cannot see it, and we have no way to retrieve it. It is not personal data in any meaningful sense — it is a list of which sounds you like and how loud you like them — but we mention it here for completeness and honesty.

Deleting the app removes this data from your device.

5. Network activity

The app does not contact any server operated by the developer. There is no backend, no API, and no cloud sync.

The only network activity associated with Sleepdrift is Apple's own App Store and StoreKit infrastructure, which handles purchases, subscription status, and restoring purchases. That communication is between your device and Apple, under Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not operate it and we do not receive a copy of it.

All 54 sounds are synthesised on your device in real time by the app's built-in DSP engine. There are no audio files to download and nothing is streamed, which is why the app works entirely offline.

6. Purchases and payments

Sleepdrift requires a purchase to use, offered as auto-renewing subscriptions and a one-time Lifetime purchase. All purchases are processed entirely by Apple.

The developer never receives, sees, or stores your payment details — no card number, no billing address, no name. Apple tells the app only whether a valid entitlement exists so that the app can unlock. Apple's handling of your purchase data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

7. Tracking and App Tracking Transparency (ATT)

We do not track you.

Sleepdrift does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. It does not use the Advertising Identifier, does not build advertising profiles, does not share data with data brokers, and does not participate in any advertising network.

Because the app performs no tracking as Apple defines it, it does not present the App Tracking Transparency prompt. There is nothing to opt out of.

8. Data sharing and selling

We do not share, disclose, sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer any data to anyone — not to advertisers, not to analytics providers, not to data brokers, not to affiliates. We hold no data about you, so there is nothing that could be shared or sold, now or in the future.

Equally, we cannot disclose data in response to a legal request, subpoena, or law enforcement demand, because we do not possess any.

9. Children's privacy (COPPA)

Sleepdrift does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. It has no accounts, no chat, no user-generated content, no social features, no advertising, and no external links inside the app that would expose a child to third-party content.

Because the app collects nothing at all, it is compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and is safe for users of any age. Please note that a purchase is required to use the app, and purchases should be made only by the account holder or with their permission.

10. Your rights (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA)

Data protection laws such as the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation and the California Consumer Privacy Act give you rights over personal data that a company holds about you — typically the right to access it, correct it, delete it, port it, and object to its processing, and under CCPA/CPRA the right to opt out of its sale or sharing.

We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, delete, export, or stop processing. We are not a data controller or a data processor in respect of any personal data belonging to you.

• Right of access: we have no data to give you.
• Right to deletion: we have no data to delete. Data stored locally on your device is deleted when you delete the app.
• Right to portability: we have no data to export.
• Right to object / restrict processing: we carry out no processing of your personal data.
• CCPA/CPRA — "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information": we do not sell or share personal information, and we never have. There is no opt-out to exercise because there is no sale or sharing taking place.
• Non-discrimination: we do not and cannot treat you differently for exercising any privacy right.

If you have purchased the app, Apple — not the developer — is the party that holds your transaction records. Direct any request concerning your purchase history or payment information to Apple.

11. Data security

The strongest security guarantee an app can offer is not to collect data in the first place. Sleepdrift takes that approach: there is no server to breach, no database to leak, and no account to compromise. Information saved on your device is protected by iOS's standard app sandboxing and device-level encryption.

12. Data retention

We retain no data, so no retention period applies. Data stored locally on your device is kept for as long as you keep the app installed, and is removed when you delete it.

13. International transfers

No data is collected, so no data is transferred internationally by us.

14. Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future version of the app introduces a feature that genuinely does need data — we will update this page and revise the effective date above. We will not quietly start collecting data while leaving this page as it is. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
