Private by design

Bird Life List has no account, no server, no analytics and no advertising SDKs. Your sightings, photos, coordinates and notes are stored only on your device. Nothing is uploaded, and nothing is shared with anyone — including us. Read the full privacy policy.

About the checklist

The bundled species checklist was compiled originally for this app from public-domain ornithological nomenclature — vernacular names, binomial scientific names and family names. No proprietary checklist, taxonomy database, photograph or illustration is reproduced in the app.

Not a bird ID app

Bird Life List is a personal record, not an identification tool. It does not identify birds from photos or sound, it does not report your sightings to any database, and it has no community or rare-bird-alert features. It is designed to work with no internet connection at all.
