Adding a widget to your Home Screen

1. In the app, pick a template, style it, and tap Save. It appears in My Designs.
2. Touch and hold an empty area of your Home Screen until the icons jiggle.
3. Tap Edit › Add Widget and search for Widget Maker.
4. Choose the size you designed — Small, Medium or Large — and add it.
5. Touch and hold the widget you just placed, tap Edit Widget, and choose your design from the list.

Adding a Lock Screen widget

1. Design a Lock Screen widget in the app (Widgets › Lock Screen) and save it.
2. Touch and hold your Lock Screen, then tap Customise › Lock Screen.
3. Tap the widget area under the clock, find Widget Maker, and add a Circular, Rectangular or Inline widget.
4. Tap the placed widget and select your design.

Installing custom app icons

iOS does not let any app change your Home Screen icons directly — every icon app, including this one, uses the Shortcuts app that ships with iOS.

1. In Widget Maker, open Icons, pick a theme, and tap Save icons to Photos.
2. Open Shortcuts › + › add the Open App action and choose the app you want to launch.
3. Tap the share button › Add to Home Screen.
4. Tap the small icon next to the name, choose Choose Photo, and select the icon you saved.
5. Type the label you want and tap Add. Repeat for each app.

Tip: move the original apps into your App Library so only your themed icons stay on the Home Screen.

Setting a wallpaper

Design a wallpaper in the app and tap Save wallpaper to Photos. Then open Photos, select the image, tap the share button, and choose Use as Wallpaper.

My widget shows the wrong time or an old countdown

iOS decides when a widget is allowed to refresh, to protect your battery. A newly placed widget can take a moment to catch up. Clock widgets are supplied with a full hour of pre-rendered updates so they stay minute-accurate.

Restoring a purchase

Your purchase belongs to your Apple Account, not to a single device. On a new device, sign in with the same Apple Account, open Widget Maker, and tap Restore Purchases. This button is on the purchase screen and is also always available in Settings inside the app.

Managing or cancelling a subscription

Go to Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions on your device, or open apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. You can also tap Manage Subscription in the app's Settings tab. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid the next charge.

Refunds

Apple handles all payments and refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
