Sign in with the same Apple Account you used to subscribe, open the app and tap Restore at the top of the subscription screen, or go to More › Subscription › Restore Purchases if you are already past the subscription screen. Your access is tied to your Apple Account, not to a device.
Open the More tab and look under Subscription. Restore Purchases and Manage Subscription are both available there at all times, before and after purchase.
Open iOS Settings › your name (Apple Account) › Subscriptions, select Series 79 Prep: IB Exam, then cancel or switch plan. You can also reach that screen from More › Subscription › Manage Subscription in the app. Cancelling stops the next renewal; access continues until the end of the paid period.
Make sure the device is online, then tap Restore Purchases. If the screen still appears, close the app fully and reopen it — entitlements are re-checked on every launch and whenever the app returns to the foreground. If the problem persists, email us with the Apple Account email you used and the approximate purchase time.
Only to subscribe or restore a purchase. The entire question bank is bundled inside the app, so studying works fully offline — on a plane, on the underground or anywhere else.
Progress is stored only on your device. There is no account and no cloud sync, which is why the app collects no personal data. Deleting the app deletes your progress.
There are 2,200 original questions. They are weighted to the published FINRA content outline: 49% Function 1 (Collection, Analysis and Evaluation of Data), 27% Function 2 (Underwriting, New Financing Transactions, Types of Offerings and Registration of Securities) and 24% Function 3 (Mergers and Acquisitions, Tender Offers and Financial Restructuring).
The Series 79 exam has 75 scored multiple-choice questions plus 10 unscored pretest questions, and candidates are allowed 2 hours 30 minutes. The mock exam in the app mirrors the 75-question, 2 hour 30 minute format. Candidates must also pass the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam.
No. Every question is original and was written from public FINRA and SEC materials and standard investment banking practice. Reproducing live exam content would be a breach of FINRA’s rules, and we do not do it.
Start with the diagnostic, then work through Practice by function, concentrating on your weakest area. Use the Valuation calculation trainer for the maths-heavy Function 1 items. From roughly three weeks out, add full timed mocks and review every incorrect answer. The dashboard readiness figure blends your weighted accuracy, how much of the bank you have covered and your most recent mock.
The app supports Dynamic Type, VoiceOver labelling on all controls, high-contrast light and dark appearances, and full keyboard-free navigation. If any screen is hard to use with your assistive settings, please tell us and we will fix it.
