Short version
Canadian Driving Test Prep does not collect any personal data. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK and no third-party tracking of any kind. The app works fully offline. Everything you do stays on your device.
1. Who we are
Canadian Driving Test Prep is developed and published by MD Shahariar Nazim Joy. You can reach us at dmjks120@gmail.com.
2. Data we collect
None. We do not collect, transmit, store or process any personal information about you. Specifically, we do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, location, photos, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, IP address, crash reports or usage analytics.
3. Data stored on your device
The app stores the following locally on your device, using Apple's own on-device storage. It never leaves your device and we have no access to it:
- The province or territory you selected.
- Your answers, per-question statistics, spaced-repetition schedule and bookmarks.
- Your mock test history and study streak.
- The preferences you set during onboarding — your target test date, daily goal and focus topics.
- Your daily reminder setting, if you turn it on.
You can erase all of it at any time from Settings › Study Data › Reset Progress, or by deleting the app.
4. Notifications
The app can show one optional daily study reminder. The system permission prompt appears only if you turn the reminder on yourself. The reminder is scheduled entirely on your device; no notification is sent from any server, and nothing about it is transmitted anywhere.
5. Purchases
Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. We never see or receive your payment details, your Apple Account or your billing address. We receive only Apple's aggregate sales reporting, which does not identify individual customers. Apple's own privacy policy governs the purchase itself.
6. Third parties
The app contains no third-party SDKs of any kind — no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting, no attribution and no social frameworks. We do not share, sell or disclose any data with anyone, because we do not have any.
7. Network use
The app is fully functional offline. It makes network requests only when you deliberately tap a link — for example a link to an official provincial handbook, this privacy policy, the Terms of Use or a support email — and when the App Store validates your purchase. Opening an external link takes you out of the app and into your browser, where that website's own privacy policy applies.
8. Children
Canadian Driving Test Prep is a study aid for people preparing for a learner driving test and is rated for general audiences. It is not directed at children under 13, and because it collects no data at all, it collects nothing from children either.
9. Your rights
Privacy laws such as the GDPR, the CCPA and PIPEDA give you rights to access, correct, port and delete personal data held about you. We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to access, correct, export or delete. The study data on your device is entirely under your control and can be erased at any time from within the app.
10. Changes
If this policy ever changes we will post the updated version on this page and change the date at the top. Because the app collects no data, we do not anticipate material changes.
