Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 July 2026

Short version: this app collects no personal data at all. There is no account, no sign-in and no server. Everything you do stays on your device, and the app works fully offline.

1. Who this policy is from

Boating Licence Prep Canada (“the app”) is published by MD Shahariar Nazim Joy (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at dmjks120@gmail.com.

2. Data we collect

None. We do not collect, transmit, sell, rent or share any personal information. Specifically, the app does not collect:

The app contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash-reporting SDK and no third-party tracking of any kind. It makes no network requests of its own.

3. Data stored on your device

To work as a study app, the app stores the following locally on your device only:

This data never leaves your device. We cannot see it. Deleting the app deletes it, and you can erase it at any time from Settings → Study Data → Reset Progress or from Progress → Reset Progress.

4. Notifications

The app can send a single optional daily study reminder at a time you choose. The system notification permission is requested only when you actually switch the reminder on, and never before. Notifications are scheduled locally by iOS; no reminder passes through any server. You can turn the reminder off in the app, or revoke the permission in iOS Settings, at any time.

5. Purchases

A purchase is required to use the app. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through in-app purchase, and Apple's own privacy policy governs them. We never see and never receive your name, payment card, billing address or Apple Account details. The app checks your purchase entitlement on the device using StoreKit and stores nothing about you beyond whether access is unlocked.

6. Children

The app is a study aid for a boating safety test and is not directed at children under 13. Because we collect no data at all, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children or from anyone else.

7. Third parties

The app contains links that open your browser — the Privacy Policy, the Terms of Use, the support page and the reference sources cited in the study content, including Government of Canada pages. Once you leave the app, the privacy practices of that site apply. We have no control over and take no responsibility for third-party sites.

8. Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export or delete on your behalf. All of your data is already in your hands, on your device. If you have a question about this, write to dmjks120@gmail.com and we will answer.

9. Security

Your study data is stored in the app's private container on your device and is protected by iOS. Keeping your device updated and locked with a passcode is the most effective protection.

10. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update the page and the date at the top. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
