Warranty Tracker & Receipts

Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 12, 2026 · Last updated: July 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Warranty Tracker & Receipts (the “App”) handles your information. The App is developed and operated by MD Shahariar Nazim Joy (“we”, “us”, the “Developer”) for iOS and iPadOS.

Summary: the App is 100% on-device. Your receipts and warranty data never leave your iPhone. Warranty Tracker & Receipts has no servers, no cloud, no account, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising and no third-party SDKs. Everything you enter — warranties, receipt photos, PDF scans and notes — is stored only in the App’s local database on your device. The App works fully offline, and deleting the App deletes all of your data.

1. Information We Collect

None. The Developer does not collect, receive, transmit, store, sell or share any personal information about you. We operate no backend servers and have no ability to access the contents of the App on your device.

Specifically, the App does not collect:

2. Information You Store in the App

The App exists to help you keep track of your own purchases. The information below is created by you and is stored only on your device in the App’s local SwiftData store. It is never transmitted to the Developer or to any third party.

DataWhere it is stored
Product name, category, purchase date, warranty length, price (USD), store name, serial numberLocally on your device, in the App’s SwiftData store
Receipt photos and PDF scans you attachLocally on your device
Text extracted from receipts by OCR, and scanned barcode valuesLocally on your device
Reminder / notification settingsLocally on your device

There is no cloud component, no sync service and no remote backup operated by the Developer. Your data exists on your device and nowhere else.

3. On-Device Processing

All processing performed by the App happens entirely on your device:

4. Offline by Design

The App is designed to work fully offline and does not require an internet connection to add, edit, scan or view your warranties. The Developer operates no servers, so there is no destination to which your data could be sent. The only network activity associated with the App is the communication Apple performs on your behalf to process a purchase or restore a previous purchase through the App Store (see Section 6).

5. Permissions the App Requests, and Why

PermissionWhy it is used
CameraTo let you scan receipts and product barcodes. Camera frames are processed on-device and are never transmitted anywhere.
Photo LibraryTo let you attach an existing receipt photo that is already saved on your device. The App only accesses the images you select.
NotificationsTo send local reminders alerting you before a warranty expires. These are scheduled on your device; no remote push service is used.

Every permission is optional and is requested only when you first use the related feature. You may grant or revoke any of them at any time in the iOS Settings app. Declining a permission only disables the corresponding feature — the rest of the App continues to work.

6. Subscriptions and Purchases

Warranty Tracker & Receipts requires a purchase (the “Warranty Pro” subscription or the Lifetime option) to use the App. All purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store.

See the Terms of Use (EULA) for the full subscription terms.

7. Third Parties, Tracking and Advertising

8. Children’s Privacy

The App is a general-purpose productivity tool and is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children — in fact, we do not collect personal information from anyone. Since no data is transmitted to or collected by the Developer, there is no personal information about a child for us to access or delete. Parents or guardians with questions may contact us at dmjks120@gmail.com.

9. Data Security

Your data is protected by the security of your own device. The App relies on the standard protections built into iOS and iPadOS, including device passcode / Face ID / Touch ID protection, app sandboxing and file-system encryption. Because no data ever leaves your device and the Developer operates no servers, there is no server-side database that could be breached. We recommend keeping a device passcode enabled and your device software up to date.

10. Data Retention

The Developer retains no data about you and therefore has no retention period. The data you create is retained on your device for exactly as long as you choose to keep it there.

11. Your Rights and Choices

You are always in complete control of your data.

Deleting data inside the App

You can edit or delete any individual warranty, receipt photo or PDF attachment at any time from within the App.

Deleting all of your data

Deleting the App deletes all of your data. Because your information is stored only in the App’s local SwiftData store on your device, removing Warranty Tracker & Receipts from your iPhone or iPad permanently erases every warranty record, receipt photo and PDF attachment held by the App. No copy is retained anywhere else — the Developer has no servers and no cloud storage from which any residual data could be recovered. This deletion is immediate and irreversible, so export a PDF report first if you want to keep a record.

Access and portability

Because all your data is already on your device, you have direct and complete access to it at all times. You can additionally export a PDF warranty report from within the App at any time and save or share it wherever you choose.

Revoking permissions

Camera, Photo Library and Notification permissions can be changed at any time in Settings on your device.

12. GDPR (European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland)

If you are located in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and equivalent laws, including the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

The Developer does not act as a data controller or data processor of your App data, because the Developer never collects or receives it. All data you enter remains under your sole control on your own device and is never transmitted anywhere. As a result, there is no personal data held by us on which to exercise these rights — you may exercise them directly and immediately by editing or deleting your data in the App, exporting a PDF report, or deleting the App as described in Section 11. If you have any questions about GDPR and this App, contact us at dmjks120@gmail.com.

13. CCPA / CPRA (California)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, gives you the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

The Developer does not collect any categories of personal information from users of the App, does not sell or share personal information (as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA), and has never done so. We do not use personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising and we do not profile users. Because we hold no personal information about you, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct or delete on your behalf; you retain full control over your data on your own device as described in Section 11.

14. International Users

The App is available worldwide. Because your data never leaves your device, the App performs no international transfer of your personal data to the Developer or to anyone else.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, to reflect new App features or changes in the law. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” and “Last updated” dates at the top of this page and post the new version at this URL. Material changes will be highlighted here, and where required by law, we will provide additional notice. Your continued use of the App after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
