Privacy Policy

USMLE Step 2 CK Prep (“the App”) is provided by MD Shahariar Nazim Joy (“we”, “us”). This policy explains how the App handles information.

Summary

We do not collect personal data. The App is offline-first. Your answers, mastery, streaks, bookmarks, session history and study plan are stored only on your device. There is no account, no login and no server that receives your study data. The App contains no third-party analytics SDKs and no advertising SDKs.

Information processed on your device

• Study data: answers, correctness, spaced-repetition scheduling, bookmarks, streaks, timed-session results and the study plan you configure during onboarding. This is stored locally using Apple's on-device database and never leaves the device through the App.
• Reminder settings: if you enable the optional daily reminder, the chosen time is stored locally and the notification is scheduled locally by iOS.

Information processed by Apple

• Purchases: subscriptions and the lifetime unlock are processed by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. We never see or store your payment card details. We receive only the entitlement status needed to unlock the App on your device.
• Device backups: if you use iCloud device backup, your on-device app data may be included in that backup under Apple's terms and your iCloud settings.

Information you choose to send us

If you email support, we receive the email address and the content of your message so we can reply. We keep support correspondence only as long as needed to resolve your query.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or share personal information.
• We do not display third-party advertising.
• We do not track you across apps or websites, and the App does not request App Tracking Transparency permission because it does not track.
• We do not use third-party analytics, attribution or crash-reporting SDKs.

Permissions

The App requests only one optional permission: notifications, used for a single daily study reminder if you choose to enable it. You may decline, and you can change or revoke it at any time in iOS Settings or in the App's own Settings screen. Declining does not restrict any study feature.

Data retention and deletion

Because your data lives only on your device, you control it completely. Settings → Reset Progress deletes all study data immediately. Deleting the App removes all remaining local data.

Children

The App is intended for medical students, international medical graduates and physicians preparing for a licensing examination. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port personal data. Because we do not collect or store personal data on any server, there is nothing for us to retrieve, export or erase on your behalf; your study data is under your direct control on your device. International users

The App functions identically in every region. As no personal data is transmitted to us, there is no international transfer of your personal data by the App.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update this page and revise the date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the App's release notes.
