I paid but the app is still locked

• Open the app and tap Restore Purchases. It is on the purchase screen and in Settings → Subscription.
• Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account that made the purchase. Family members each need their own purchase unless Family Sharing is enabled on the product.
• If a purchase is pending approval — for example under Ask to Buy — access unlocks automatically once it is approved.
• If it still does not unlock, email us with the date of purchase and we will help.

How do I cancel a subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. On your device open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, choose TEF Canada Prep: French Test and tap Cancel Subscription. You can also reach the same screen from Settings → Manage Subscription inside the app. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds ourselves, but we are happy to help you work out what went wrong first.

The recordings play once in the real test — why can I replay here?

Because this is practice. You can replay a recording, slow it down, and read the full script once you have answered. When you want the real conditions, use the timed listening simulation: it runs the published 40 minutes across all four sections and holds feedback until the end.

Microphone and recordings

• The microphone is used only while you are recording a speaking task.
• Recordings are stored in the app's own folder on your device. They are never uploaded.
• Delete a recording right after making it, or delete all of them with Settings → Reset Progress.
• If you declined microphone access, you can turn it on in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone. Everything else in the speaking section works without it.

Reminders

Turn the daily reminder on or off in Settings → Study reminder. It is a single local notification a day at the time you choose. Nothing else is ever sent.

How is my estimated NCLC level calculated?

From your accuracy on the multiple-choice questions you have answered in this app, once you have answered enough of them for the number to mean anything. It is study feedback to show direction of travel — it is not an official score and it does not predict a real result. Expression écrite and expression orale are practised against model answers rather than machine-scored, so they are not given an automatic level.

Does it work offline?

Yes, completely. Every recording is spoken on your device and every passage is bundled inside the app. The only time a connection is needed is the moment of purchase or restore, which Apple handles.

Accessibility

The app supports Dynamic Type at every size, VoiceOver labels on controls and progress elements, Dark Mode, and Reduce Motion. If something is hard to read or hard to reach, tell us and we will fix it.
