Summary
TEF Canada Prep: French Test does not collect any personal data. The app has no account system, no server of its own, no analytics SDK and no advertising SDK. It works fully offline. Nothing you type, answer or record is transmitted anywhere by this app.
1. Who we are
This app is published by MD Shahariar Nazim Joy ("we", "us"). You can reach us at dmjks120@gmail.com. This policy explains what happens to information when you use TEF Canada Prep: French Test for iPhone and iPad.
2. Information we collect
None. We do not collect, receive, store on a server, sell, rent or share any personal information. Specifically, we do not collect:
- your name, email address, phone number or any contact details;
- your device identifiers, advertising identifier or IP address;
- usage analytics, crash reports, event logs or telemetry;
- location data, contacts, photos, calendars or health data;
- your practice answers, your written responses or your voice recordings.
The app contains no third-party analytics, attribution, advertising or crash-reporting software development kits.
3. Information stored on your device
So the app can show your progress, it saves the following on your device only:

All of it is removed when you tap Settings → Reset Progress, and all of it is removed when you delete the app. Voice recordings can also be deleted individually right after recording.
4. Microphone
The Speaking section can record your spoken answer so you can listen to it again and compare it with the model answer. The microphone is used only while you are actively recording a speaking task, and only after you grant permission through the standard iOS prompt. Recordings are written to this app's private folder on your device. They are never uploaded, never transmitted, and never shared with us or with any third party. You can decline microphone access and continue to use every other part of the app, including reading the speaking prompts, timings, tips and model answers.
5. Notifications
If — and only if — you turn on the optional daily study reminder, the app asks iOS for permission to post one local notification a day at the time you choose. These notifications are generated on your device. No push server is involved and no message is sent to us. You can turn the reminder off at any time in the app or in iOS Settings.
6. Purchases
Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. We never see or receive your payment card details, your Apple Account credentials or your billing address. The app only asks Apple whether the current Apple Account holds a valid entitlement to this app, and Apple answers yes or no. Apple's own handling of purchase data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
7. Children
The app is a study tool for adults preparing for a language test used in immigration and citizenship applications. It is not directed to children under 13, and because we collect no data at all, we do not knowingly collect information from children.
8. Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, export or delete on our side. You have complete control over the data stored on your device through Settings → Reset Progress and through deleting the app. If you have a question about this, email dmjks120@gmail.com and we will answer.
9. International users
The app is available worldwide. Because no data leaves your device, there is no international transfer of personal data by this app. This policy is written to be consistent with the GDPR, UK GDPR, PIPEDA and the CCPA/CPRA; under each of those, our answer to "what personal information do you process?" is "none".
10. Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes will also be described in the app's release notes.
