How do I restore my purchase?
Make sure you're signed in to the same Apple Account you purchased with, then go to Settings → Restore Purchases inside the app. It's also offered directly on the paywall screen.
How do I change my state?
Go to Settings → State → Change, or tap the state badge on the Study tab. You can switch between California, New York, Florida, and Texas at any time — your subscription covers all four.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed and managed by Apple, not by us. On your device: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Security Guard License Prep → Cancel Subscription. Or manage it directly at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to avoid the next charge — you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for.
Is my data backed up?
No. Your answers, scores, bookmarks, streak, and exam date are stored locally on your device only — there is no account and no cloud sync. Reinstalling the app or switching to a new device erases this local data. Your subscription itself is tied to your Apple Account, not to the local data, so it will restore normally with Restore Purchases.
Does this app guarantee I'll pass?
No. Security Guard License Prep is independent, original study material. It is not affiliated with BSIS, the New York State Department of State, DCJS, FDACS, the Texas Department of Public Safety, or any other state licensing agency, and using it does not guarantee that you will pass your state's exam or be granted a license. Always confirm current requirements with your state's official licensing agency.

Apple handles all billing and all refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can't process refunds directly, but email us and we'll help however we can.
Does the app work offline?
Yes. All questions, mocks, and flashcards for all four states ship inside the app. Once you've purchased, you can study with airplane mode on. Only the purchase itself and Restore Purchases need a connection.
