Security Guard License Prep

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 July 2026  ·  Effective: 13 July 2026

The short version. Security Guard License Prep does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. There is no account, no login, and no server. Everything you do in the app stays on your device. The app contains no analytics SDKs and no advertising SDKs.

1. Who we are

Security Guard License Prep (the "App") is published by MD Shahariar Nazim Joy (the "Developer", "we", "us"). You can reach us at dmjks120@gmail.com. This policy explains what the App does and does not do with information.

2. Data we collect

We collect none. Specifically, the App does not collect any of the following:

There are no accounts and no login — the App does not ask who you are. The only permission the App requests is an optional local notification permission for a daily study reminder, which you may decline. If you decline it, every other feature of the App continues to work exactly as before.

3. Data stored on your device

To make the App work, it saves the following locally on your device only, in a local file inside the App's own storage. This data is never uploaded, and it is not visible to us or to anyone else:

WhatWhyWhere
Your answers to practice questionsTo score you and show which questions you missedYour device
Mock-exam results and scoresTo show your trend and readiness by topicYour device
Bookmarks and flashcard schedulingTo power review and spaced repetitionYour device
Your exam date and study goalTo build your study plan and countdownYour device
Your study streakTo keep you consistentYour device
Your reminder settingTo know whether to schedule a daily local notificationYour device

You can erase all of it at any time: Settings → Reset all progress. Deleting the App from your device also deletes it.

4. Notifications

If you turn on the daily study reminder, the App schedules a local notification using Apple's on-device notification system. No push server is involved, and no notification content ever leaves your device. Declining this permission does not disable or limit any other part of the App. You can turn reminders off in the App at any time, or revoke the permission in the iOS Settings app.

5. Purchases

Security Guard License Prep requires a purchase to use. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store using Apple's StoreKit In-App Purchase system. We never see, receive, or store your payment card details, your Apple Account credentials, or your billing address. Apple's handling of that information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

The App asks Apple's StoreKit framework whether your Apple Account currently holds a valid purchase or subscription. That check is made by the operating system against Apple's servers; the App itself receives only a yes-or-no answer and never a personal identifier.

6. Third parties

The App contains no third-party SDKs of any kind — no analytics, no advertising, no attribution, no crash reporting, no social logins. We do not share data with third parties, because we do not have any data to share.

7. Children

The App is intended for adults preparing for a state security guard licensing examination. It is not directed at children, and it does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age — because it does not collect information at all.

8. Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR (EU/UK) and the CCPA/CPRA (California) give you rights to access, correct, delete, and port your personal data, and to object to its sale. Because the App does not collect or process any personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct, delete, port, or sell. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. All data the App produces already sits on your own device and is under your direct control.

9. Deleting your data

You have two ways to remove everything the App has stored:

Neither action affects an active subscription, which is managed separately through your Apple Account.

10. Security

Your study data is stored in the App's private container on your device, protected by iOS's built-in app sandboxing and by device encryption when you have a passcode set.

11. Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will also be noted in the App's release notes.
