Email us

Tell us your device (e.g. iPhone 15), your iOS version, and what happened. If it's about a purchase, include the date — not your card details, which we never need and never want.

Purchases

I paid, but the app still shows the paywall

Tap Restore Purchases on the paywall, or open Settings → Restore Purchases inside the app. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account you bought with. If it still doesn't unlock, email us.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open the iOS Settings app → tap your name → Subscriptions → select ATC Aptitude Prep → Cancel Subscription. You can also reach this from Settings → Manage Subscription inside the app. Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period.

How do I cancel the free trial?

The same way. Cancel at least 24 hours before the 3-day trial ends and you will not be charged. You keep access until the trial period runs out.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

What's the difference between the plans?

Nothing at all in what you get — all three unlock the entire app. Monthly ($9.99/month) and Annual ($49.99/year, with a 3-day free trial) are auto-renewing subscriptions. Lifetime ($99.99) is a single one-time purchase that never renews.

Using the app

Does it work offline?

Yes — completely. The whole question bank ships inside the app. The only time it needs the network is to verify your purchase with Apple.

Where is my data stored?

Only on your device. There is no account and no server. That also means your progress does not sync between devices, and it is gone if you delete the app.

How do I reset my progress?

Settings → Reset Progress clears mastery, streaks and history but keeps your purchase. Settings → Delete My Data wipes everything including onboarding.

The drills feel impossible

They're meant to be uncomfortable — that's the point of a timed sub-test. Start with the written questions for a skill (Study → Practice by Skill), learn the method from the explanations, and then drill it. Speed follows accuracy, never the other way round.

I think an answer is wrong

Please tell us, and include the question text. We check every report and fix genuine errors promptly.

About the test

Are these the real test questions?

No — and be sceptical of anyone who claims otherwise. No ATC selection battery publishes its items; they are proprietary and are only ever seen in a supervised test centre. Every question, drill and explanation in this app is an original work written from public descriptions of the skills these batteries measure.

Why does the app hold me to 85%, not 70%?

Because the FAA's published pass mark (70%) is not its hiring bar. It sorts candidates into bands, and since 2018 it has selected only from the Well-Qualified (85–89%) and Best-Qualified (90%+) bands. Training for a pass is how people end up passing and never hearing back.

Does it cover non-FAA tests?

Yes. The nine skills the app trains are the same constructs EUROCONTROL FEAST, NATS, NAV CANADA and Airservices Australia all test. None of them require prior ATC knowledge.

Accessibility

The app supports Dynamic Type, VoiceOver, Bold Text, Reduce Motion and full dark mode, and every question can be read aloud (Settings → Read questions aloud). If something is not usable for you, email us — we will fix it.
