MD Shahariar Nazim Joy (“we”, “us”) operates the STEP Maths Prep iOS application. This policy explains how the app handles information.
Summary
- No third-party analytics SDKs
- No advertising SDKs
- No account registration required
- Study progress is stored on your device
- Purchases are processed by Apple
Data we process
On-device study data. Progress, streaks, bookmarks, incorrect answers, preferences, exam date, and spaced-repetition state are stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage (e.g. UserDefaults). This data does not leave your device through our servers — we do not operate a user-content backend for this app.
Notifications. If you enable a daily study reminder, iOS may ask for notification permission. Notifications are used only for the reminder you configure. You can disable them anytime in iOS Settings or in the app.
Purchases. Subscriptions and lifetime unlocks are handled by Apple via StoreKit / App Store. We do not receive your full payment card details. Apple may provide us with limited purchase/receipt information necessary to unlock features.
Support email. If you email us, we receive the content of your message and your email address solely to respond to your request.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal data
- We do not use third-party advertising networks
- We do not include third-party analytics SDKs
- We do not require you to create an account
Children
The app is a general education study aid. It is not directed at children under 13 as a primary audience. Do not provide personal information if you are not permitted to use the App Store under applicable rules.
Data retention
On-device data remains until you delete the app or reset progress in Settings. Support emails are retained only as long as needed to resolve your enquiry.
Your choices
- Reset progress in the app Settings
- Disable notifications in iOS Settings
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID subscription settings
- Delete the app to remove local data
