How do I restore a purchase on a new device?
Sign in to the same Apple Account you bought with, then open the app and tap Restore Purchases. It's available in two places:
- On the paywall, directly under the purchase button.
- Any time afterwards: Settings tab → Subscription → Restore Purchases.

How do I cancel?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. On your device: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Counselor Exam Prep → Cancel Subscription. Or use apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before your period ends to avoid the next charge. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
You can also open the manage-subscription screen straight from the app: Settings → Subscription → Manage Subscription.
How does the 3-day free trial work?
New subscribers who choose Annual Access get 3 days free. You are not charged during the trial. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, the annual subscription starts and your Apple Account is charged. The trial is available once per Apple Account, per subscription group.
I want a refund.
Apple handles all billing and all refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can't process refunds on Apple's behalf, but email us and we'll help you with the request.
The app says it can't load the plans.
That's an App Store connection problem, not a problem with your account. Check that you're online, then tap Retry on the paywall. If it persists, sign out and back in to the App Store on your device (Settings → Media & Purchases), then relaunch the app.
Using the app
Does it work offline?
Yes. The entire question bank ships inside the app. Once you've purchased, you can study on a plane, on a commute, or with airplane mode on. The only thing that needs a connection is the purchase itself and Restore Purchases.
How is my readiness score calculated?
It blends your accuracy in each area with how much of the bank you've actually covered, weighted by how much each area counts toward this app's full mocks. It is deliberately conservative early on: doing 10 questions well doesn't make you 100% ready. It is an internal study signal, not a prediction of your official NCE score.
Why eight CACREP areas instead of NBCC's own scoring domains?
NBCC's current NCE Content Outline scores items across six broader work-behavior domains, not the eight CACREP curriculum areas. We organize practice by the eight CACREP areas because that's how most counseling programs teach the material and how most candidates already study — it gives finer-grained subtopics to drill. How do I reset my progress?
Settings → Reset all progress. That clears answers, mocks, streak, bookmarks and flashcards. It does not cancel your subscription.

None. No account, no analytics, no ads, no server. See the Privacy Policy.

The app's Exam Info screen summarizes the structure of the National Counselor Examination and links to the official NBCC sources so you can verify everything for yourself. Exam content, eligibility, and timing are set by NBCC and can change — always confirm current requirements with:
