Sign in to the new device with the same Apple Account you used to buy the unlock. Then open the app, tap the gear icon on the home screen (or open the unlock screen), and tap Restore Purchases. You will be asked a simple grown-up maths question first — that is the parental gate.

The Lifetime Unlock is a one-time purchase tied to your Apple Account. It never expires and there is nothing to re-buy.

Tap the gear icon in the top-right of the home screen to open For Grown-Ups. Restore Purchases is at the top of that screen and stays there permanently, whether or not the app is already unlocked.

That is the parental gate. The App Store Kids Category requires that a grown-up confirms before an app can make a purchase or open a web page. Type the answer on the keypad and tap OK. If it is wrong, a new question appears.

Yes, completely. Every lesson, picture and sound is inside the app. After the purchase the app never needs a connection again — good for planes, cars and waiting rooms.

Check three things: the device is not on silent, the volume is up, and Sound is turned on in For Grown-Ups (the gear icon). The app deliberately respects the silent switch so it never blurts out in public.

Every drag activity also works by tapping: tap a card, then tap the space or basket where it belongs. Both methods work everywhere, so younger children are never stuck.

The seven day names use only five different first letters. We introduce them in the order used by Handwriting Without Tears — easiest strokes first (straight lines before curves before diagonals) — rather than in week order, which would start a child on the hardest letters.
