Privacy Policy
A-Level Computer Science · Last updated: 21 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how A-Level Computer Science (the “App”), published by MD Shahariar Nazim Joy (the “Developer”, “we”, “us”), handles information. It covers both the Android version distributed through Google Play and the iOS version distributed through the Apple App Store. The App is private by design.
1. We do not collect personal data
The App does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal information. There are no accounts and no logins. The App contains no third-party analytics SDK and no advertising SDK. We operate no servers that receive your data.
2. Data stored on your device
Your study data — answers, streak, bookmarks, mock history, topic mastery, mode selection, preferences and exam date — is stored only on your device, using Android on-device storage (SharedPreferences) on Android and Apple on-device storage on iOS. It never leaves your device. Uninstalling the App removes it. On Android, if you have Google’s system-level backup enabled, Android may include app data in your own device backup; that backup is controlled by you and Google, not by us.
3. Purchases
Access requires a paid subscription. On Android, purchases are processed entirely by Google through Google Play Billing, and are governed by the Google Privacy Policy. On iOS, purchases are processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store, and are governed by the Apple Privacy Policy. We never see or receive your payment card details. We receive no personally identifying purchase information.
4. Notifications
If you turn on the optional daily study reminder, the App schedules a local
notification on your device. Nothing is sent to us or to any third party, and no push
service is used. On Android 13 and later the App asks for the notification permission
(POST_NOTIFICATIONS) at runtime; you may decline, and the rest of the App
continues to work. You can turn reminders off at any time in the App, or in your Android
or iOS system settings.
5. No tracking and no advertising
We do not track you across apps or websites. The App does not use the Android Advertising ID, does not use the Apple Advertising Identifier (IDFA), and shows no adverts. The App does not request access to your camera, photos, contacts, location, microphone, calendar, or health data. Aside from opening the links on this website and contacting the store’s billing service for your purchase, the App works fully offline.
6. Children
The App is an education study aid intended for students preparing for A-Level Computer Science examinations, and for their teachers and parents. It is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children. Purchases are managed by the account holder of the Google Play or Apple account.
7. Security
Because study data stays on your device and is never transmitted to us, its security depends on your device’s own protection, such as your screen lock and device encryption.
8. Your rights
We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to export, correct or delete on your behalf. You can erase all data the App holds by uninstalling it. For purchase records, contact Google Play or Apple Support.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
